Statistics: Russia’s inflation speeds up to 0.11% in Aug 29–Mon
MOSCOW, Sep 6 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation accelerated to 0.11% from August 29 through Monday as compared with 0.03% a week earlier, and reached 376% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Wednesday.
Fruit and vegetables prices decreased by 1.3% on average. Cabbage deflated by11.1%, onions by 6.8%, carrots by 5.7%, potatoes by 4.6%, and beetroot by 3.4%. But the prices for cucumbers grew by 6% and for bananas by 3.8%.
Prices for frozen fish, sugar, and flour decreased by 0.2%, but the prices for poultry rose by 1.5% and for sunflower grew by 1%.
Gasoline prices rose by 0.54% and diesel fuel prices by 1.25%.
